IndieFilmopolis Film Festival 2022

Our 2022 festival was held in Birmingham in February. It was a fantastic day packed with incredible short films, networking, filmmaker Q&As and awards for the best films. Huge congratulations to all the nominees & winners and massive thanks to everyone who came and joined us & supported all the brilliant films.

About IndieFilmopolis

In 2018 we started the IndieFilmopolis podcast to discuss the making of our own micro-budget feature "Own Worst Enemy". The podcast slowly evolved to include and eventually focus more on the wonderful work of others working in independent film, highlighting, reviewing and interviewing amazing indie & short films and filmmakers.

Following the pandemic and desperate to see live screenings and film events return, we set up our very first live event - IndieFilmopolis Film Festival 2022 to showcase the excellent work of some insanely talented global filmmakers.

We were blown away to receive over 370 outstanding submissions, which we reluctantly whittled down to just 53 amazing short films that we were thrilled to be able to share.
